To create Bludot’s top quality steel brake lines, Jamey first feeds the steel tubing through a straightening die. He makes sure all the adjustments are correct and match the customer’s specifications.
Next, he puts the steel tubing through the automatic feed, which he operates by way of the control panel. Within the control panel, he has links programmed in for Bludot’s top clients, allowing him to simply select that preset and run the lines automatically. The ability to pre-program clients’ desired specifications ensures consistency, quality, and shortened lead times — three things that set Bludot apart from their competitors.
The next step is flaring and custom bending the steel lines. Bludot offers custom bending up to 1/32 of an inch. After this, the brake lines are finished and ready to be included in custom brake kits and shipped to the client!
