Jamey Banks – Production Technician
Jamey Banks has worked at Bludot for 8 years as a Production Technician. His primary role is to run steel brake lines and bend them to customer specifications.
Professional Life
Before coming to Bludot Manufacturing, Jamey worked in a steel warehouse for 10 years, and then at AM General for 12 years.
His current role at Bludot is to run all the steel brake lines and bend them to the customer’s specifications.To make our custom brake lines, he first feeds the steel tubing through a straightening die. Then, he makes sure all the adjustments are correct and match the customer’s specifications. Next, he puts the steel tubing through the automatic feed, which is operated by way of a control panel. Within the control panel, Jamey has links programmed in for Bludot’s top clients, allowing him to simply select that preset and run the lines automatically. The ability to pre-program clients’ desired specifications ensures consistency, quality, and shortened lead times — three things that set Bludot apart from their competitors.
Personal Life
Jamey has a wife and two daughters. His oldest daughter is 27 in college for her Master’s degree in Human Resources, and his younger daughter, age 26, is a school teacher in Middlebury.
Jamey’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He spends his free time out camping with his family. He is also a big fan of the Notre Dame football team.
